One of the things I love most about energy work is this:

Sometimes the thing holding us back today… is not actually about today at all.

Today I worked with a client who was talking about fear, self-sabotage, lack of confidence and a deep fear of being seen.

She described how she often holds herself back from opportunities because somewhere inside she feels:

✨ “What if I fail?”

✨ “What if I’m not good enough?”

✨ “What if people realise I can’t do it?”

As we explored the emotions underneath it all, a much older story emerged.

As a child, she struggled with maths and numbers at school.

Teachers became frustrated. Adults criticised. She felt humiliated. And slowly, she began to believe something devastating:

💔 “I must be stupid.”

That belief quietly followed her through life.

Not because it was true…

…but because children often absorb other people’s reactions as truth.

A single comment.

A frustrated teacher.

A moment of embarrassment.

A feeling of not understanding.

These moments can become energetic imprints that shape the way we see ourselves for decades.

During the session we gently worked with her younger self - helping her release the sadness, pressure and shame she had carried since childhood.

And then something beautiful happened.

Her younger self no longer felt “stupid.”

Instead, she began to feel:

✨ proud of who she is

✨ reassured

✨ calmer

✨ lighter

✨ more accepting of herself

One of the most powerful moments was when she realised:

“Maybe I was never stupid at all… maybe I simply learned differently.”

That one shift changes everything.

Because energy work isn’t simply about “positive thinking.”

It’s about helping the nervous system, the emotional body and the energy system finally let go of beliefs that were never truly ours to carry.

And when that happens… something softens.

The adult version of us no longer has to keep living from the wounds of the child.

This work continues to amaze me every single day. ✨
